Description

Telent Technology Services, the British telecommunications and digital infrastructure company, has announced that it will create 350 jobs in the English cities of Blackpool, Preston and Chester in early 2021. The new jobs include project and delivery manager, field surveyor and telecoms engineer roles.

The business expansion is due to Telent’s contribution to the Gigabit City Investment Programme, which aims to take fibre broadband to 8 million homes and businesses across the UK. The project is led by CityFibre. A representative of Telent said the firm was seeking ‘reliable and dedicated people’ to take ultrafast broadband to the cities of the North West.

Telent provides network and communications services, including critical infrastructure services to clients including Highways England, the London Ambulance Service, British Telecom. The company has several operational sites across the UK and Ireland, and it employed 2,282 people in UK at the end of March 2020.
