Description

The gambling company Novomatic cuts 120 jobs at its headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen in Lower Austria. The company said that the current COVID-19 crisis was the reason for the job cuts. Casinos and gambling halls had to close in several worldwide locations. The supplier of slot machines also reported a decline in revenue of 80% for its international customers. In addition to a redundancy programme, the company has provided the former employees with support helplines and additional consulting services. Novomatic has 22,000 employees worldwide and around 3,100 in Austria.
