Description

Geek Retreat, the British retail chain, which sells comics, memorabilia and table top games, has announced plans to open 100 stores across the UK in the next two years, creating about 600 new jobs. The restructuring follows the growth of the games and hobby sector, also lead by an increased demand during lockdown.

The chain’s chief executive said that Geek Retreat offers a place for people 'to get out of the house and play safely'.

Geek Retreat is headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland and it currently has 14 stores in the UK, selling memorabilia from brands such as Pokemon and Harry Potter. The stores have cafes and dedicated areas to play table top games, such as Dungeons and Dragons.
