European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Polish convenience store chain Dino Polska announced that it will create 300 jobs at its new distribution centre in Sieronowice, Poland. The centre is expected to be launched within the next few months, but the recruitment process has already started. Currently, the company is looking for managers; rank-and-file staff will be recruited within the near future. The total warehouse area will cover 45,000 square metres, and on the site, there will be parking spaces, temperature-controlled warehouses and freezers under most recent sustainability standards. The investment is associated with the company’s plans to expand its activity across the country. A local mayor stated that such investments were important for the region.
Dino was founded in 1999 and its stores are generally located in medium and small-sized towns. Currently, the chain has 1,371 stores and five distribution centres across the country; the company employs about 21,000 staff.
Previous restructuring programmes were announced in October 2018 (350 jobs created) and June 2020 (600 jobs created).
