Description

Octopus Energy, the British electricity and gas retailer, which specialises in ‘clean energy’, has announced plans to create 1,000 jobs in the UK by the end of 2021, doubling its current workforce. The jobs will be created in London, Brighton, Warwick, Leicester and in the company’s new technology centre in Manchester, and will be open to STEM graduates.

A statement by the company said it was planning to expand its cloud-based technology platform to make it easier and cheaper for people to use renewable energy in their homes.

Octopus was founded in 2016 and it is one of the fastest growing private firms in the UK, with operations in the UK, Germany, Australia and the US.
