Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US company EPAM Systems, one of the leading providers of digital platform engineering and software development services, is to create around 600 new jobs in Vilnius by October 2025. The company has announced the intention to open a new office in Vilnius and to hire approximately 600 highly qualified engineers in the next five years. The company is planning to actively collaborate with Lithuanian universities – it has plans to develop a number of professional training programs to help grow the supply of IT professionals in Lithuania.
EPAM Systems was established in New Jersey in 1993. The company currently employs around 36,400 employees worldwide and its global teams serve customers in more than 30 countries across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
