European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 22 August 2020, the government signed a decision (FEK 61) allowing Athens Public Transport Organization (O.A.S.A.) to hire 655 personnel with fast-track procedures.
Recruitment concerns bus drivers and technicians and will take place in the transport companies O.SY. S.A. (providing buses and trolley bus services) and STA.SY. S.A.(metro lines and trams) in the capital region.
The aim is to have more frequent routes and avoid overcrowding at the time of the pandemic, according to a Transport Ministry official.
