Description

Three UK, incorporated as Hutchison 3G UK Limited, the British mobile telecommunications company has announced that it will cut 280 jobs at its head office in Maidenhead, England. The job cuts represent approximately 7% of the company’s workforce.

A spokesperson for Three said the company’s aim was to 'right size' the business and achieve 'greater alignment between the UK and Ireland'.

Three was the first mobile telecoms company in the UK to launch a 3G mobile network in 2003. The company is the British subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings, the Hong Kong-based global group of businesses.
