Description

The Shaw Trust, the British charity that specialises in supporting people into employment, has announced that it will create 600 new jobs in London, the Midlands and central and east of England in the next twelve months. The new jobs include full- and part-time roles and represent a 25% expansion of the organisation’s current workforce.

A representative of the charity said the expansion was necessary to support more people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and added that applicants with experience of working in customer facing jobs, for example in the hospitality sector, were welcome to apply for the new roles.

The Shaw Trust is the largest not for profit employability (‘welfare to work’) organisation in the UK, providing support through a range of national and local government funded programmes. Last year, the charity took over two employment and skills development organisations.
