Description
Bosch, the German multinational engineering and technology company, has announced the closure of the Castellet plant (Barcelona) and the consequent collective dismissal plan affecting its 300 workers. The company argues that the closure is due to the low profitability and competitiveness of the plant as a result of a restructuring of the windshield wiper business of the Electrical Drives division. The workers' representation argues that the plant has developed several feasibility plans (collective dismissals, early retirements, pay reductions, and so on) over thelast years and reports a lack of investment in the factory.
