Description

The US-owned aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney Kalisz announced that it will cut 150 jobs at its production facility in Kalisz, Poland. The company reveals the programme will affect only production roles. Initially, the company planned to cut 218 positions, but then it revised the plan. The programme is related to the COVID-19 pandemic and a decline in demand for products and services in the aviation sector. The conditions of the programme will be negotiated with the local trade unions.

Currently, the factory in Kalisz employs about 1,600 employees.

In August 2020, the company also launched a collective dismissal programme at its production facility in Rzeszów (300 jobs cut).
