Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Norwegian producer of extruded aluminium profiles Hydro Extrusion Poland, a subsidiary of Hydro Extruded Solutions (Hydro), has announced that it will create about 100 new jobs at its production facility in Łódź, Poland. The company is looking for production staff, maintenance and automation specialists. The programme is associated with the company’s plans to launch a new production line at the site.
Hydro Extruded Solutions was founded in 1963 in Oslo, Norway. Hydro is one of the largest global providers of aluminium extrusion-based solutions with 140 production sites in more than 40 countries. Hydro specializes in the production of aluminium components for the automotive industry. Currently, the company employs about 22,200 people worldwide, including 580 employees in the city of Łódź, Poland.
