Description

Hermes UK, the British logistics company has announced that it is recruiting 1,500 new full-time employees including couriers and warehouse staff across the UK as well as workers at its head office in Leeds.

The company’s chief executive said the Covid-19 pandemic had given a further boost to the growth in online shopping and Hermes wanted to 'strengthen [its] infrastructure'. The company has recently opened a new depot in Nottingham, England, creating 100 jobs.

Hermes UK delivers packages on behalf of the high street, catalogue and online retailers and provides a delivery and collection service to members of the public and SMEs via doorstep collection. The company works with a network of over 10,000 couriers, the majority of whom are self-employed.
