Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The South Korean chemical company SK Innovation announced that it plans to create 300 jobs at its new production facility in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Poland, by the end of 2021. The production is expected to be launched in the first half of 2021; the factory will be fully operational in October 2021. The factory is located in the Katowice Special Economic Zone. The company plans to invest PLN 1 billion (€227 million) in the factory specializing in the production of lithium-ion battery separators for electric cars.
SK Innovation was founded in 1962. The company operates in various fields from petroleum production, refining, chemicals, lubricants as well as batteries for electric cars and their components.
