Retail company Aldi will close its offices and distribution centre in Zaandam, making all 125 employees at the Zaandam location redundant. Aldi has nine office and distribution locations in the Netherlands for nine regions, the company expects to operate more efficiently in the future by supplying its stores in Noord-Holland from another location, in Zoetermeer. Aldi states it will do its best to facilitate the employees in their transition to a new job. Employee representatives have been invited to discuss a social plan.
