Description

As announced on 22 July 2020, the German airport operator Berlin-Brandenburger Fluggesellschaft (FBB) will cut approximately 400 jobs within the next years. The job reduction is inevitable due to the drastic decline in civil aviation, caused by the COVID-19 crisis. All units of the company will be affected. According to management, the company will try to avoid compulsory redundancies. Furthermore, leading employees are waiving 10% of their salaries. Negotiations with the works’ council and the trade union will start shortly.

Currently, FBB has 2,170 employees.
