Description

Miba Sinter Slovakia, a producer of sintered steel components, announced collective dismissal programme at its plant in Dolny Kubin, which will affect 192 employees out of 1,000 staff.  Main customers of Miba Sinter are located in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and China and planned redundancies are attributed to impacts of the COVID-19 to the industries in these countries. A detailed redundancy plan has not been announced yet.

The Miba group has made another announcement related to the sister machinery company Miba Steeltec in Vrable. The subsidiary company completed an expansion investment worth €10 million in July 2020. Besides the extension of production space from 11,000 to 17,000 square metres, the company will establish a new research and development department. The number of employees working there will increase from 700 to 780.
