Description
As announced on 18 July 2020, the German retailer Gebr. Heinemann will close its shops at Cologne Bonn Airport by 31 December 2020, which will result in the loss of approximately 100 jobs. According to Gebr. Heinemann, differences on future contractual conditions regarding concession fees, terms and shop space have led to the decision to close all five shops at Cologne Bonn Airport. Management and works’ council will start negotiations regarding a social plan.
Gebr. Heinemann has been operating its shops at Cologne Bonn Airport since 1969.
