European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
St John’s Ambulance, the British charity has announced 250 jobs cut at its training organisation to save costs and compensate for the loss of donations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Redundancy consultations with employees have started, however, the job cuts are expected to take place in the autumn.
The chief executive officer said that job cuts were necessary to secure the charity’s future.
St John’s Ambulance is the largest provider first aid and health and safety training in British workplaces, which also provides first aid cover at public events and supports the emergency services. The charity has also supported the National Health Service during the pandemic, with its staff and volunteers contributing to the ambulance and the work of Accidents & Emergency Departments across the country.
