European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
As confirmed on 28 May 2020, the German industrial gas supplier Linde will cut 834 jobs in Germany due to internal restructuring, following its merger with Praxair. Although IG Metall reported a job reduction in fall 2019, the company's management confirmed the exact number of job losses recently. The management and works council have reportedly already reached an agreement, however, no details on timeframe and locations have yet been published.
Linde has approximately 7,000 employees in Germany.
