Nemlig .com, an online supermarket, hired 400 new employees to cater for the increased demand from costumers during April and May. Nemlig.com has experienced increased demand due to the Covid-19 crisis. The company has increased the geographical area in which they deliver products to costumers. The COVID-19 pandemic provoked a massive increase of the demand for groceries digital shopping services all over the country. The company is now able to deliver groceries to four out of five danish homes. The expansion of both geographical delivery area and delivery times was already planned for launch in March but was postponed due to the large influx of customers.

According to a press release published on October 27, Nemlig.com is planning to hire an additional 200 employees during the month of November in response to increased demand. Nemlig is experiencing a 400 percent increase in demand compared to same month of last year. Following the hiring of additional workers in April and May, the company currently has the capacity to deliver groceries to 4 out of 5 Danish households.
