Description

After the reorganisation announced by Airbus with 14,900 job cuts worldwide, its wholly-owned subsidiary Stelia aerospace, has announced 704 job cuts across the group's five sites in France - Rochefort (Charente-Maritime), Mérignac (Gironde), Colomiers (Haute-Garonne), Méaulte (Somme), Saint-Nazaire (Loire Atlantique). At Rochefort, 95 jobs are under threat, representing around 10% of the site's workforce. A period of negotiations between management and the unions will take place from 6 July to mid-September. The management of Stelia Aerospace believes that the plan should be settled by mid-2021. The group has 7,000 employees worldwide including 4,500 in France and 2,500 in North America, Tunisia and Morocco.
