Description
Kite, a subsidiary of American pharma company Gilead, has opened a 19,000 square meter factory in Hoofddorp. The new factory will produce a medicine to fight lymph node cancer and will significantly reduce the delivery time of this medicine for European cancer patients, who previously had to depend on shipment of the medicine from Los Angeles. The new factory will employ 400 persons upon opening, while expansion to 530 employees is expected in the near future. Kite is an American pharma company and was taken over by Gilead in 2017.
