Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Polish producer of PCV windows Drutex has announced that it will create up to 400 additional jobs at its European Woodwork Centre (Europejskie Centrum Stolarki) in Bytów near Słupsk. The company is looking for production staff, industrial automation and electronic specialists, IT specialists, electricians as well as sellers. The restructuring event is associated with the construction of the next stage of the centre. The source reveals, the company invested over PLN 130 million (EUR 23,22 million as of 29 May 2020) in the project.
Drutex has been operating in Poland since 1985; currently, the company is the biggest manufacturer of PCV woodwork in Europe employing over 3,000 people. European Woodwork Centre in Bytów was launched in 2014.
