Description

The Bioserenity factory, located in Rosières-près-Troyes (Aube), has set up a 'field factory' dedicated to the production in large quantities of surgical masks, FFP2 and scrubs for healthcare workers. Bioserenity has announced the recruitment of 150 people on fixed-term contracts for a first period of 9 months. The objective is to produce 500,000 masks every day and thus meet the State's demands, which amount to hundreds of millions at the time of deconfinement. Currently being installed, the 11 production lines will operate 24/7, 3x8 during the week and 2x12 at weekends. The masks will be manufactured primarily to meet the needs and demand of the State for the medical community. A first team started production on 12 May. Full production should be reached by mid-June. According to Bioserenity, production could become permanent, although the decision will depend on the health measures taken by the government and the evolution of French needs, including a strategy for relocating production. The Department of Aube, which is accompanying the operation, is betting on the permanence of the 150 jobs for the future. Production was set up in four weeks on the site of the Lévisys company, which specializes in energy storage. The buildings were supplied by the local government. Bioserenity employs 500 people worldwide including 200 in France.
