The Polish mining equipment manufacturer Famur announced that it will close its production facility in Rybnik, Poland. As a result, 204 people will be made redundant throughout a collective dismissal programme. The source also reports that the company will also cut 84 positions at its headquarters in Katowice. The restructuring is associated with COVID-19 pandemic; according to the company, the pandemic has resulted in a drop in demand for its products.Â
