Description

As announced on 21 April 2020, the wind turbine supplier WEC Turmbau will close its plant in Magdeburg by the end of June which will result in 140 redundancies. The main customer of the company Enercon had previously announced to continue ordering wind turbine parts at the WEC Turmbau plant in Emden due to shorter supply routes. This decision will lead to the closure of the Magdeburg plant.

Currently, there is no available information on a social redundancy plan for affected workers.
