Description
R1 RCM (former Intermedix Lithuania), a subsidiary of the US healthcare services group Intermedix Corporation, is to dismiss around 175 employees in its service centre in Kaunas in 2020. Such information was provided by the Lithuanian Employment Service. In 2018, Intermedix’s healthcare division was acquired by R1 RCM, one of the leading providers of technology-enabled revenue cycle management services. Intermedix’s subdivision in Kaunas took over the name of the new owner in 2019. However, after several months of operation, it was reported that R1 RCM made a decision to change the strategy in Lithuania and to reduce the scope of activities there. Later on 29th April 2020, the company informed that it would cease operations in Lithuania. Currently the service centre in Kaunas employs 234 employees. Earlier, in 2019 the company announced its plans to dismiss 300 employees in Kaunas.
R1 RCM is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management services across hospitals, health systems and physician groups. The company has 32 branches in the United States, Great Britain, New Zealand and Lithuania and employs more than 2,500 workers worldwide.
