Description

Danish hotel chain Comwell that the company will have to dismiss 250 employees due to the COVID-19 crisis, which is almost a fourth of the workforce.  According to the CEO, the government's emergency package including pay compensation for employees on temporary lay-off will not be enough to compensate for the losses. The chain last week closed more than half of its 15 hotels in Denmark, which corresponds to a 90% turnover loss in less than two weeks. The CEO hopes that Comwell will be able to reemploy the employees made redundant once the emergency is over.
