Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Czech freight wagon manufacturer Nymwag CS has announced that it will expand its production and create 292 new jobs by the end of 2020. The company managed to win two new contracts, whose value exceeds €15 million. These are about the delivery of 130 tank cars for the French company ATIR RAIL and 40 container freight wagons for the Italian company GTS. This year the company plans to produce 420 freight wagons. With the launch of three production lines, the production capacity should reach 750 wagons per year. According to CEO of the company, the production can further increase to 1,300 vehicles within the horizon of two years, ranking the company third among the major European car manufacturers.
