The Polish retailer of computer and consumer electronics Komputronik announced that it will cut 300 positions throughout a collective dismissal programme. The redundancies will affect employees at various units located across the country. As the source reports, the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the financial situation of the company, but Komputronik has been struggling with difficulties for some time. In early March 2020, Komputronik launched a restructuring programme, which aims at rationalising business processes and improving financial effectiveness.
Komputronik was founded in 1996; currently, the company has about 140 stores across Poland, offering over 100,000 products.
