Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Orkla is a Norwegian company and a leading supplier of branded consumer goods to the grocery stores, specialised retailers, pharmacies and bakeries. Orkla’s branded consumer goods business comprises Orkla Foods, Orkla Confectionery & Snacks, Orkla Care and Orkla Food Ingredients. Orkla Foods is the largest business area, with 42% of Orkla’s total operating revenues. Orkla Foods Sweden is based in Sweden and it will relocate its beverage production activities from Ringköbing (Denmark) to Kumla (Sweden). Production volumes has increased in Kumla (Sweden) since Orkla Foods Sweden invested in a beverage centre. The initiative is part of the strategy which aims to strengthen the competitiveness, optimize and establish the most cost-effective beverage production in the Nordic region. At Kumla plant of Orkla Foods Sweden, fruit and berries are manufactured under the brands Felix, Önos, Ekströms, BOB, Jook and Fun Light.
